NIPR Hosts Global and Continental PR Leaders At Diamond Anniversary Colloquium
Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the foremost Public Relations professional body in Africa has held its 60th anniversary international colloquium in Abuja, the nation’s capital with focus on “Public Relations, Value Re-orientation and Economic Transformation”.
Speaking on the essence of the Diamond Anniversary celebration, the NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku, said that it was important for the Institute to celebrate key landmark achievements, especially in the area of fostering unity and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians. He noted that the Institute over the last 60 years has made significant progress in building, managing and strengthening relationships among various critical stakeholders in the Nigerian Project, stressing that the NIPR was determined to working with relevant authorities to give the country a new narrative.
The event attracted Public Relations leaders from across the world in Abuja, Nigeria. Among them, Prof. Justin Green, President and CEO of Global Alliance, Mr. Arik Karani, President of the African Public Relations Association (APRA), among other international guests. The Managing Director and Co-Founder, Four Icons Premium Ltd, Mrs. Aishat Onusi was among seasoned professionals who graced the occasion. Mrs. Onusi also participated in the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) Session.
The NIPR 60th Anniversary Dinner/Award presented opportunity to reward excellence and hardwork to notable individuals and organisations who have in one way or the other made immense contributions to nation-building. Categories included NIPR Diamond Lifetime Achievement Award which was awarded to the President & CEO of Global Alliance, Prof. Justin Green and Global Alliance Board Member Dr. Wole Adamolekun.
