Four Icons Partners with FCT-SAPZ for Project Facilitation Training Workshop

Abuja, Nigeria – In a significant step towards enhancing agricultural development, Four Icons recently collaborated with the Special Agro-Processing Zones (SAPZ) – FCTA to deliver a comprehensive training workshop on Strategic Communications, Stakeholder Engagement, and Knowledge Management as part of its Project Facilitation Training (PFT) Programme.

This initiative is a key component of the SAPZ project, which is jointly funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). The training programme, which took place over several days in Abuja was attended by the management team and support staff of the SAPZ project, and Directors/Heads of relevant units within the FCTA Agricultural Department.

The strategic communications session facilitated by the Managing Director of Four Icons Premium – Mrs. Aishat Onusi, was designed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge to improve their communication strategies, effectively engage stakeholders, and manage knowledge resources more efficiently.

As the agricultural sector continues to evolve, effective communication and stakeholder engagement are critical for the success of large-scale projects like SAPZ. The training programme provided participants with practical tools and techniques to foster better collaboration and transparency, which are vital for building trust and ensuring the smooth implementation of agricultural initiatives; and by enhancing knowledge management capabilities, the project is better positioned to leverage past experiences and innovations for future success.

The focus on knowledge management aimed to empower the attendees to systematically capture, store, and share valuable information within their teams and departments. This is particularly crucial for the SAPZ-FCTA project, which aims to support inclusive and sustainable agro-industrial development and enhance the competitiveness of the agriculture sector through promotion of livestock (beef and dairy) value chains in FCT.
