Another Impactful Capacity Development Programme Delivered At The Jewel In The Savannah!
Gombe State, Nigeria – Four Icons Premium recently completed a highly impactful training session on Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Engagement for the L-PRES (Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support) Project staff in Gombe State. The training, which spanned several days, was aimed at enhancing the communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities of the project team, ultimately contributing to the success and sustainability of the LPRES Project in the region.
The Managing Director and Lead Trainer of Four Icons Premium, Mrs. Aishat Onusi, who brought her extensive expertise in strategic communications to the forefront, led the training; supported by Mr. Sanni Onogu, the Media Relations Consultant at Four Icons Premium, and the company’s Multimedia Manager – Mr. Korede Bakare along with other members of the Four Icons team.
Participants were taken through a comprehensive curriculum that covered critical areas such as effective communication strategies, stakeholder mapping and analysis, relationship building, and the use of new media technology in stakeholder engagement. The training also included practical sessions where participants engaged in role-playing and scenario-based exercises, enabling them to apply the concepts learned in real-time.
Speaking on the success of the training, Mrs. Onusi expressed her satisfaction with the participants’ enthusiasm and commitment to improving their communication and engagement strategies. “It was encouraging to see the dedication of the LPRES Project staff in Gombe State. Their willingness to embrace new strategies and tools will undoubtedly enhance their ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and drive the success of the project,” she said.
Mr. Onogu also highlighted the importance of media relations in stakeholder engagement, emphasizing how strategic communication can build trust and foster positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. “In today’s digital age, media relations are more crucial than ever. Knowing how to navigate and utilize media platforms effectively can make a significant difference in how projects like LPRES are perceived and supported,” Mr. Onogu added.
The training in Gombe State is part of a broader initiative by Four Icons Premium to support development projects across Nigeria through capacity building in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing that the skills and knowledge gained would be invaluable in their work.
