Jos Training Boosts Skills in Documentary & Knowledge Management
Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria – Four Icons Premium has concluded a dynamic five-day training in Jos, Plateau State, on “Documentary Production on Project Achievements & Impact; and Integrated Knowledge Management”. The workshop brought together project staff of the Plateau State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (LPRES) Project; Extension Officers from different Local Government Areas, and other field officers committed to improving how development efforts are documented, shared, and remembered.
This specially designed training combined two critical capacity areas: multimedia documentation and knowledge management, enabling participants to capture project results more strategically and manage institutional knowledge more effectively.
Throughout the sessions, participants learned the fundamentals of documentary production, including scripting, field interviewing, photography, videography, and editing. The training also delved into best practices in integrated knowledge management, covering content planning, data organization, story archiving, and using digital tools to preserve and disseminate project knowledge.
The practical segment of the training saw participants create short video features, conduct interviews, and explore tools for digital storage and retrieval. These exercises allowed them to apply classroom concepts in real-world scenarios, reinforcing the value of field-based learning.
“We are not just building storytelling skills; we are equipping teams to institutionalize knowledge in ways that foster learning, continuity, and long-term impact,” said Aishat Onusi, Managing Director & Lead Consultant at Four Icons Premium.
Participants praised the dual focus of the training, noting that integrating knowledge management with visual documentation filled a long-standing gap in how their projects capture and communicate success stories.
The training programme in Plateau State reflects Four Icons Premium’s continued commitment to strengthening communication and knowledge systems across development projects in Nigeria, ensuring that project impact is not only felt but also effectively captured, shared, and sustained.
