Hands-On Training On Documentary Production Held in Ekiti
Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria – Four Icons Premium has successfully conducted a five-day intensive training on “Documentary Production on Project Achievements and Impact” in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State from May 19th to 23rd, 2025. The workshop, attended by Ekiti State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (LPRES) Project staff, also had in attendance, officers from relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies and from across various development projects, focused on building practical skills in multimedia storytelling.
Participants were taken through a rich mix of sessions covering introduction to documentary production in projects, knowledge management and KM digital tools, photography, videography, scripting, interview techniques, and editing. A key feature of the training was its strong emphasis on hands-on practice, allowing participants to translate theory into immediate action.
One of the major highlights of the week was a live drone demonstration, which gave participants insight into how aerial footage can enhance visual storytelling and provide compelling perspectives of project impact across communities.
“This training has completely changed the way I approach documentation,” said one participant. “It’s no longer just about taking pictures, it’s about telling stories that matter.”
Aishat Onusi, Managing Director of Four Icons Premium and Lead Trainer for the programme, emphasized that visual documentation is not just a communications task but also a strategic tool for showcasing transparency, learning, and results.
“At Four Icons Premium, we believe that when development stories are well told, they inspire action, accountability, and sustainability,” she said.
The Ekiti training adds to the organization’s expanding portfolio of transformational capacity-building engagements across Nigeria.
