Kwara LPRES Project Staff Trained on Strategic Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
Ilorin, Kwara State – A 5-day training programme on Strategic Communications & Stakeholder Engagement was held in Ilorin, Kwara State for staff members of the State Implementation Unit of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support – LPRES Project.
The training programme facilitated by Four Icons Premium was designed to acquaint participants with basic project communication strategies and tactics to create awareness about the project, mobilize stakeholders’ support and disseminate project results, as well as outcomes arising from the implementation of the project.
With an appropriate mix of theory and practical, key presentations delivered by seasoned resource persons include effective project communication techniques; essential elements of effective communication; barriers and enablers of effective communication; active listening and questioning skills; digital resources for effective communication & documentation; managing conflicts and addressing challenges in communication; and building strong relationships with stakeholders and team members etc.
The training was facilitated by Four Icons Premium’s Managing Director – Aishat A. Onusi (Mrs); and Digital Communications Strategy Consultant – Mr. Henry Okelue.
At the end of the training, the participants’ learning evaluation showed significant improvement in their knowledge of effective stakeholder management, communication skills and tools necessary for the successful dissemination of project implementation messages and outcomes.
