Digital Skills Training Supports Livestock Value Chain Actors in Kwara
Ilorin, Kwara State | Livestock farmers and other value-chain actors in Kwara State recently participated in a four-day training on Digital Communication Tools for Enhanced Livestock Production and Market Access, organised under the Kwara State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project.
The training was facilitated by Four Icons Premium Limited as part of its continued support for practical capacity development and the effective use of communication tools across the livestock value chain, and focused on practical ways of using smartphones and digital platforms to support livestock production, business development and market access.
Participants explored how digital tools can be used to access livestock-related information, communicate with customers, promote products and identify market opportunities. The sessions combined interactive discussions with hands-on exercises, allowing participants to practise the tools introduced during the training.
The programme also covered areas such as digital marketing, mobile photography and video, access to weather information, online information search and digital safety.
The closing ceremony was attended by the National Project Coordinator of the L-PRES Project, who joined the Kwara State L-PRES team in encouraging participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained during the programme.
